Winter

There is so much to do at Isola, from skiing and snowboarding to snowshoeing and skidoo rides. If you hire a car from Nice airport you can take the time to visit some of the charming neighbouring villages.

Skiing and snowboarding

With 45 pistes and 20 lifts, there is something for everyone at Isola 2000. There are gentle greens and blues and some more challenging reds and blacks for advanced skiers. The resort is relatively quiet and you can often find you have pistes almost entirely to yourselves!

To find out more about the ski area, visit the Isola 2000 website.

Weekly activities

The resort puts on a few welcome activities, head to the Tourist Office to find out more. Every Saturday morning hot chocolate is served at the top of the Telecabine du Mercantour. On Sundays from 1630, head to the Front de Neige for complimentary vin chaud.

Ice skating

The outdoor ice rink is situated down at the main resort buildings, it is open subject to weather conditions.

Snowshoeing

One of our favourite activities. Take a walk on snowshoes around the resort and experience the tranquility of the snowy mountains, you might even see a chamois.

Snowshoes can be hired from most rental shops in the resort, guided tours of the resort and surrounding mountains are available. Every Thursday evening there is a snowshoe walk and BBQ (€15). The Tourist Office and ski schools have more information.

Ice driving

The Trophee Andros is held at Isola 2000 each year. Why not try your hand at ice driving – with lessons or racing? Find out more here.

Skidooing

There are guided skidoo tours around the resort. Head over to Chalet Belvedere behind the chapel to find out more.

Swimming at Aquavallée

This large swimming complex with water slide, sauna, jacuzzi, gym and squash courts, down at Isola village is perfect for unwinding. Find out more here.

Cinema

Why not visit the cinema in the lower area of the Galerie Marchande and take in a film after a hard days skiing.

Explore the local area

Isola 2000 is set in a beautiful part of the southern French Alps and there are so many charming villages to explore. Auron is the nearest ski resort and it is well worth a day trip – it is around a one hour drive from Isola 2000.
